A Camp Pendleton Marine has died while serving in Iraq.
Gunnery Sgt. Marcelo R. Velasco, 40, died Wednesday in a nonhostile incident in Anbar province, the Department of Defense announced Friday.
Velasco was assigned to the I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, I MEF.
The incident is under investigation.
