Little Crime Reported During Blackout

Only a few cases of theft were reported during the county-wide power outage

There were a few isolated incidents of theft during the county-wide power outage Thursday night.

On Second Street in El Cajon, suspects broke the glass window of a store, but did not steal the computer.

The county has declared a local emergency and any looting is considered a felony.

SDG&E is checking in on critical needs patients, but they warn to verify the I.D. of the power company’s personnel before opening the door.
