Starbucks Crew Robbed at Gunpoint

The suspects robbed the Starbucks on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa, just north of Interstate 8

Two men walked into a San Diego-area Starbucks Monday, ordered the employees on the ground and demanded cash.

The suspects entered the coffee shop on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa, just north of Interstate 8 around 8:30 p.m.

One man wore a black ski mask over his face. The other, a black scarf over his face and was armed with a handgun.

Employees complied with the suspects' demands according to police.

No customers were inside the business at the time. No one was injured.

La Mesa police said the suspects may be connected to similar crimes in the area.

Both suspects were described as African American males, in their mid 20's, 5'9" to 5'10", 180-190 pounds. One was wearing a dark blue button up shirt, dark blue pants, dark grey hooded sweatshirt, black wool-type gloves and white shoes. The other was wearing a light grey sweatshirt, with a blue T-shirt over it, dark blue pants, a gray beanie cap and white shoes.

The suspects were last seen running southbound on Kiowa Drive from Lake Murray Boulevard police said.
