Killer Found Gay Victim Online

Convicted murderer learns his fate

A Carmel Valley resident convicted of stabbing two men to death during a robbery at a Skyline apartment in April 2007 was sentenced Friday to two life prison terms without the possibility of parole.

Samuel Joseph Graham III, 26, was convicted Aug. 6, of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Rock Walker, 51, and Daniel Collins, 50.

Graham was looking for people to rob when he met Walker, who was gay, on a chat line, prosecutors said. Walker was living at an apartment on Woodman Street while the tenant was hospitalized.

Graham fatally stabbed Walker then killed Collins when he came home unexpectedly. He then ransacked the residence, and set up the stolen items in his girlfriend's Carmel Valley home, prosecutors said.

The bodies were discovered April 24, 2007.

The judge denied Graham's motion for a new trial.
