John Gardner Jailed Near Manson: Report

John Albert Gardner III, the man serving life in prison for the murders of Poway's Chelsea King and Escondido's Amber Dubois, is sharing a prison unit with another notorious killer -- Charles Manson, according to a published report.

Gardner was transferred to the Corcoran State Prison near Bakersfield on June 3rd, according to the KTLA News web site.

Gardner has his own cell, but is able to socialize with other inmates including the famed cult leader and Mikhail Marhasev, the man convicted of killing Bill Cosby's son, a spokesperson for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation told KTLA.

The man who raped and killed both Dubois and King was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on May 15.
