Imperial Beach shores is closed Friday because of sewage spills from south of the U.S.-Mexico border, according to officials.
The contamination is coming from the Tijuana River making its way toward San Diego waters, according to officials.
Beaches will be closed from the ocean border to the northern area of IB. The closure ends at the Chula Vista city limit.
