House Fire Displaces 9 Residents

The fire started just before 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday

A house was fully engulfed by flames in Talmadge before firefighters knocked it down on Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.

The fire started just before 1:40 p.m. and rapidly spread throughout the entire house located at 4431 51st St. The house was located next to an apartment complex. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze by 2 p.m.

Two families, totaling nine people, have been displaced because of the fire. It is unknown if they were all from the same house or apartment.

One patient was transported to UCSD Hospital for smoke inhalation.
