Victim, 27, in Oceanside Homicide Identified

The victim in a deadly Oceanside shooting has been identified by officers, though the suspect is still on the loose.

Timothy Harrison, 27, was found dead inside an Oceanside residence with a gunshot wound to his head, Oceanside Sgt. Gabriel Jimenez said.

Officers responded to the call for shots fired at 4:26 a.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Gold Drive.

When officers entered the house, they found the man inside the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear whether he lived at the home or if he was visiting as officers have said his address is unknown.

No motive for the shooting has been identified, Oceanside police said, and no murder weapon has been found.

One neighbor showed NBC7 a trail of blood leading from her backyard to the street and another had a bullet hole in his garage door.

Police have gathered evidence in the road from Gold Drive to Elaine Avenue but still have no suspect description.
