Home Prices in San Diego Are Still Dropping

Home sales in San Diego and the rest of Southern California have dropped dramatically and home prices aren't faring any better, according to a real estate information service.

In San Diego, home prices have dropped by 1.1 percent, according to DataQuick based in La Jolla. The number of home sold across the county has also dropped by 0.5 percent.

Across the state 35,202 homes were sold last month, which is down 3.3 percent from 36,417 homes sold in March and down 6.1 percent from 37,481 homes in April, the company reported.

The median home price in San Diego in April 2011 was $321,750, which is down from April 2010 when the median home price was $325,250, DataQuick said.
