Hit-and-Run at University Avenue

Pedestrian was struck at University Ave. and Shiloh Road Sunday morning

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian on eastbound University Avenue and Shiloh Road Sunday morning.

Police said the incident happened around 10:40 a.m in Chollas Creek.

A vehicle making a right turn hit a male pedestrian and then fled the scene, leaving the victim down in the middle of the street, according to police.

Authorities said witnesses reported seeing the victim roll up on top of the hood of the car before hitting the ground.

The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital with head trauma.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possibly dark blue, pick-up truck. The car was last seen driving eastbound on University Ave.
