Tail of Storm Brings Drizzle, Clouds

We begin another work week with a slow, soggy morning commute. That's two Mondays in a row. For San Diegans, that's almost an eternity.

For those driving in, it was difficult to avoid slowing caused by traffic accidents. At the onramp to westbound SR 52 at Genessee, an  SUV crashed into the embankment on the right hand side juat before 7 a.m., rolling over.

There was trouble also on Carmel Mountain Road, where a car slammed into a tree, causing severe front-end damage.

The cool, cloudy, wet weather refuses to leave. However not all is lost. There will be sun this week according to forecasters.

For today, expect to see off-and-on showers, sprinkles and drizzle in the morning hours.

Hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday, a weak offshore flow will kick in and warm us up to mid-70s near the coast, upper-70s and low-80s inland.
