Spare a Minute to Win It?

New trivia game also part of audition

Can you spare a minute to win it?

"Minute to Win It," the NBC game show that awards up to $1 million for completing 60-second challenges with everyday items, is one of two casting calls Saturday in downtown.

Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rock Bottom in the Gaslamp District.

Among the off-the-wall challenges, a game called "Face the Cookie" requires contestants to roll a cookie from forehead to mouth without using their hands.

Casting director Tiffany Dejillo said there will also be auditions for a new "trivia-based" show, which is called "Still Standing" and is run by the same producers.

According to NBC's website, a "Still Standing" contestant is pitted versus 10 competitors, answering head-to-head trivia questions against the clock.

One wrong answer and the contestant loses all the money to the competitor and falls through a trap door in the floor. If correct, the contestant moves on to the next competitor.
