Reports of Gunman in La Jolla Building Unfounded: Cops

San Diego police said they are not ordering evacuations of the area but are keeping people from entering the building

San Diego police have lifted a lockdown on a La Jolla office building after reports there may be a man holed up inside with a gun.

Officers told NBCSanDiego an undercover officer entered the high-rise building at 4225 Executive Square near Genesee Avenue and La Jolla Village Drive. The officer did not see the man officials said.

People were being let inside the building as of 9 a.m.

Officers said the man texted his wife telling her he had a gun inside the office building but police said the man's phone was not "pinging" off the building.

Officers are checking a second address.
