Grossmont College’s Commencement Ceremony will take place in the Main Quad at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Sandy Adwer, who fled Iraq with her family when she was 12 and plans to become a physician, will speak at the college's 55th graduation. Also speaking will be Monica Zech, public information officer for the city of El Cajon.
Check in time starts at 3:30 p.m. in front of Building 60/Griffin Center, facing the quad and bookstore.
Graduates must present a valid Grossmont College Student I.D. or a California State I.D. when checking in.
Students will be issued an armband bracelet upon check-in and will not be allowed to participate without the bracelet.
The school recommends dark shoes and warm-weather clothing.
Parking will be available in Student Lots 1, 5 and 7. Disabled parking is also available in the staff lot closest to the bus stop.
