A grass burned in Otay Mesa Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.
The blaze began around 1 p.m. at 1277 Riviera St., just north of state Route 905 and east of Interstate 805. Shortly after 1:30 p.m. the fire expanded to 3 acres and became a full vegetation response for fire crews.
Officials said that firefighters were able to get the upper hand over the blaze. As of 2:30 p.m. the crew was ensuring the fire was fully extinguished. There were no evacuations.
