Good Samaritan Injured in Highway Crash

When one car was disabled after a crash, another stopped to help

A man who stopped to offer help after a crash on a San Diego highway was injured after he was hit by a driver suspected of DUI.

The first crash happened on Interstate 805 near transition to State Route 94.

A car traveling southbound on I-805 heading east onto SR 94 lost control and ended up in the middle of the highway.

Some Good Samaritans stopped to help the driver.

Then, a van slammed into the first car while at the same time hitting one of those who had stopped to help.

The Good Samaritan was transported by ambulance to the hospital. His identity and his condition are not known.

The woman driving the van was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence officials said.
