A woman is injured after a paraglider crashes at Black's Beach, just north of La Jolla.
According to the San Diego Police, the glider crashed about 30 feet down the cliff near the Torrey Pines Glider Port Saturday around 3:30 p.m..
The woman in her 30s--who was the only person on board -- caught some currents in the air and came down for a hard landing from about 10 to 15 feet in the air.
She was conscious and breathing when help reached her, police said. However, she suffered a leg injury, so she wasn't able to talk on her own.
Emergency crews treated her on the bluffs, put her on a medic stretcher and hoisted her up. Police said she is an intermediate para-glider.
