Two La Jolla residences were evacuated Saturday afternoon after nearby construction crews struck a gas line, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials.
The leak was reported at about 11:36 a.m. on Alta La Jolla Drive near Caminito Cardelina, officials said. Authorities said they evacuated the two neighboring houses as a precaution.
There have been no reports of injuries.
Officials with SDG&E were dispatched to the scene, officials said.
