Former Charger Ryan Leaf Arrested

The former NFL player was arrested in Montana Friday afternoon for alleged burglary and drug possession

Former Chargers player Ryan Leaf was arrested on Friday afternoon in Montana, according Great Falls Police.

The details surrounding Leaf’s arrest are not completely clear yet, although Cascade County Detention Center Officer Robert Rivera said the former NFL quarterback was booked on charges of burglary of a residence, theft and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

Leaf was freed on $76,000 bond. He is schedules to make a court appearance Monday.

This isn’t the 35-year-old athlete’s first brush with the law.

In 2010, the former San Diego Chargers player pleaded guilty to various drug charges in Amarillo, Texas. He was fined $20,000 and sentenced to probation for 10 years.
