Super Bowl linebacker Lew Bush dies of apparent heart attack

Former Chargers linebacker Lew Bush died Thursday at the age of 42.

Bush, who suffered an apparent heart attack, played for the Chargers for seven years, including during their only Super Bowl appearance in the 1994-1995 season.

The team drafted him in 1993, and later served as a pre-game commentator for the Charger’s radio broadcasts on KIOZ.

A spokesperson for the Chargers said the team is “deeply saddened” by Bush’s passing.
