A fire burned a large trailer to the ground and for a few moments threatened a church in Julian.
A triple-wide trailer on the premises of Whispering Winds Catholic Church at 17606 Harrison Park Road caught fire just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
When CAL FIRE and the Julian Volunteer Fire Department arrived the triple wide structure was burning. Soon after some of the flames spread to the trees near the church. Two other nearby buildings were also briefly threatened.
The property is a church camp/facility but the structure that burned was not the church.
No one was injured during the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
