Perry’s Café is cleaning up after a late night fire caused $300,000 in damage to the restaurant.
The fire broke out around 10:00 p.m. on Friday at the café, located on Pacific Highway just off the northbound 5.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the freeway. The blazed caused $150,000 in damage to the building and $150,000 worth of damage to the contents inside, according to firefighters.
The investigation has not been completed, but initial reports indicated that the fire was unintentionally set.
Perry’s Café could not be reached for comment.
