Gunfire caused a 20-acre fire Saturday in San Diego's East County.
Cal Fire air and ground crews battled the wildfire that sparked on Kuebler Ranch near Otay Mountain, east of Otay Mesa.
Cal Fire Capt. Kendal Bortisser told NBC 7 on Monday that the fire was caused by gunfire but he did not release any further details.
No structures were threatened.
Officials amended their estimate of the fire's growth to 20 acres after they initially said it was 100 acres.
