Father Of 2 Killed In High-Speed Cycle Wreck

Police: Bike Traveling Over 100 MPH

The county medical examiner says a father of two was killed in a solo high-speed crash in Sabre Springs Monday.

Ariestotel Calumba Timbol, 24, of San Diego died at 7:06 a.m.  Police said he had just received his motorcycle learner's permit five days earlier.

The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. in the 13200 block of Sabre Springs Parkway near Wimberly Square.  Timbol was riding a 2007 Suzuki GSR-1000 southbound at speeds of more than 100 mph.  He lost control, rode up on a center island and struck a tree, police said.  Medics tried to resuscitate him at the scene, but he died.

The medical examiner said he was a metal plater who lived with his girlfriend and two minor children in an apartment in Rancho Penasquitos.

Sabre Springs Parkway from Ted Williams Parkway to Poway Road was closed while an investigation was conducted.
