San Diego firefighters were called out to San Ysidro on Tuesday afternoon.
A fast-moving brush fire threatened at least one structure near the Interstate 805 and 905 exchange, officials said, and several homes on Remington Hills Drive were evacuated.
About 15 minutes after the initial reports, however, SD Fire Rescue spokesman Maurice Luque said the firefighters had knocked down the fire.
