Family Sues Over Deadly Jet Crash

Dong Yun is suing the government and Boeing for the deaths of his family

The family of four people who were killed in a Fighter Jet Crash in University City is suing the federal government and Boeing.

Dong Yun filed the suit Wednesday, accusing the military and the aircraft's maker of negligence. His wife, two daughters and mother-in-law were killed when the jet crashed into their home in December of 2008.

The military blames the F/A-18 crash on a series of bad decisions made by the pilot after an engine failure.

Marine Lt. Dan Neubauer was about to finish training and be deployed when he embarked on the fateful flight. He bailed out just before his aircraft hit the ground.

In addition to the loss of life, the crash destroyed two homes and damaged others.
