Fallen San Diego Police Officer Jonathan "JD" De Guzman's son was crowned the Homecoming King Friday night.
San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman tweeted a picture of Jed De Guzman with his mother at Otay Ranch High School.
Officer De Guzman was killed in the line of duty on July 28 after he was shot multiple times at point-blank range during a traffic stop. The 43-year old name's was recently engraved in the police memorial in Chula Vista, his hometown.
His partner, Officer Wade Irwin was also injured in the attack and is still recovering.
