About 70 volunteers are expected to help a military spouse renovate her home while her husband is deployed.
Geovanna Rodriguez of La Mesa has not been able to keep up with home repairs. Now, volunteers from Underwriter Laboratories plan to work on Geovanna's fence, yard and other projects on the home's facade to help her out.
Geovanna's husband is with the National Guard, and the family has no concerns that he won't have a job when he returns. She has been unable to find work on her own.
The cleanup is part of a home makeover project coordinated by Operation Home Front.
