Triple-Digits Expected Under Excessive Heat Warning in Desert Communities

Triple-digit temperatures are expected Tuesday for San Diego County's desert communities under an excessive heat warning issued by the National Weather Service.

The warning is in effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to reach 110 to 115 degrees with lows in the 80s, according to the NWS.

The combination of high temperatures and high humidity will create dangerous conditions for those working or playing outside.

To avoid heat exhaustion or heat stroke, be sure to stay hydrated, take frequent breaks and reschedule any strenuous activities for the early morning or evening hours.
