A water main break caused a service outage for dozens of water customers in El Cajon early Wednesday.
A Helix Water District spokesperson said 63 homes were without water due to the break in a 12-inch water main.
Heartland Fire crews responded to the scene on N Westwind Drive just before 6:30 a.m.
They found a section of the street flooded and the potential for a sinkhole.
El Cajon Police were called to help control traffic.
