El Cajon police officers who launched a search for an 11-year-old boy said the child was found unharmed.
The child was last seen on Tangerine Street near Van Zanten Park and Greenfield Middle School at approximately 1:30 p.m., police said.
The neighborhood is north of Interstate 8 and east of State Route 67.
