Urban Wine Tasting Room Uncorks in the Gaslamp
A taste of Temecula is now available in downtown San Diego. The well-established Callaway Vineyard & Winery has just opened a satellite tasting room in the Gaslamp Quarter that is now offering tastes, glasses and bottles from the local winery's portfolio along with wine-friendly snacks.

Drive-Thru Wood-Fired Pizza Planned for Pacific Beach
Opening next month on Grand Avenue is Doughballs, a new fast-casual pizza concept that will serve its menu to both dine-in and drive-thru customers. Based on wood-fired pizza cooked up in a flash, the eatery will also offer delivery to the neighborhood and nearby beachgoers. The pizzeria will also have an outlet in Liberty Public Market. We’re all for more ways to get our hands on pizza.

The Taco Stand Replacing Tacos Perla
With locations in Encinitas, La Jolla and downtown San Diego, The Taco Stand is expanding to North Park where it will move into the Tacos Perla space. Reopening later this summer, The Taco Stand will feature a Tijuana-inspired menu of street tacos and burritos.

North Park is Getting Another Breakfast Spot This Summer
The owner of the popular Breakfast Republic eateries is branching out with another breakfast-focused restaurant. Due this August on University Avenue is North Park Breakfast Company. The two-story space, which includes a rooftop deck, will serve an eclectic menu of breakfast fare along with a bar program that includes craft beer, cocktails and wine.
