Quake Centered Near Palomar Mountain

A 3.3 quake rattled a large section of San Diego County late Thursday

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake shook parts of the North and East County late Thursday.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake hit four miles from the Palomar Observatory around 11 p.m.

NBC 7 received many phone calls from all over, but the heaviest shaking was reported in Escondido, Valley Center, Oceanside and Fallbrook.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department had no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
