A man accused of raping a woman and then pushing her out of car going 50 mph on Interstate appeared in court on Friday.
Damarest Dunn Sr., 33, is facing a list of charges thjat include attempted murder, rape and kidnapping. He is accused of bringing a woman back to his La Mesa apartment on Wednesday, holding her against her will and raping her. He then allegedly pushed her out of his car while while it was going 50 mph on Interstate 8 near Fletcher Parkway.
Dunn, however, maintains that the sex was consensual and that the woman jumped from his car when he was trying to take her home.
During his arraignment in El Cajon Friday, the judge ordered Dunn held on $1 million bail.
