A driver was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon after leading officers on a chase on Interstate 5 near Carlsbad.
The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed the car into a concrete barrier on I-5 near Cannon Road and rolled several times, police said.
No one else was involved in the crash.
Escondido police began tailing the driver, who was driving recklessly, at about noon, officials said.
The driver continued to flee and headed west, as officers followed.
After the crash, the driver was apprehended and evaluated for injuries.
No other information was immediately available.
