San Diego police are investigating a crash in Linda Vista that killed the driver and sent a passenger to the hospital.
A Mazda sedan was traveling westbound on Tait Street just before midnight. After the sedan entered the intersection, the vehicle was struck by a Toyota pickup truck traveling southbound on Linda Vista Road.
Officers said they weren’t clear on who failed to stop.
The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was transported to the hospital.
The driver and passenger in the sedan were related officials said. Investigators have not released the victim’s identity.
It appears alcohol was a factor. The driver of the truck was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
