Did You Feel It?

A magnitude 4.9 earthquake rattled San Diego County Saturday evening. The USGS initially reported the earthquake as a magnitude 4.8.

The quake hit at 8.08 p.m. and was centered near Borrego Springs. It rattled areas as far away as San Diego and Riverside Counties.

β€œI was drying the rear bumper of my car at the car wash, and I thought someone had hopped into my car because it moved up n down. I looked up but nobody was there,” Emmanuel 'Manny' Sandoval wrote on Facebook.

β€œIn Poway. The shower doors rattled for a good long time,” wrote Momfrog Lorita.

β€œFelt it here in San Marcos alright... it was a good shake,” Maureen O'Sullivan Quillopo wrote.

There were no reports of any damage.
