SDSO: Love Triangle, Stabbing Led Deputies to Human Trafficking Ring

Four people were arrested Saturday in connection with the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Christalina Indish on the Campo Indian Reservation near Boulevard

A love triangle may have led to the death of a woman and the discovery of an alleged human trafficking ring on an Indian reservation southeast of San Diego, investigators said Sunday.

Four people were arrested Saturday in connection with the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Christalina Indish on the Campo Indian Reservation near Boulevard.

The victim's boyfriend, Darrel Wohlford, Cindy Ceballos and two other women are accused in the attack, San Diego County Sheriff's Detectives said. Investigators say Wohlford and Ceballos were also romantically involved.

The stabbing happened at 11:28 a.m. at a home on the 36300 block of Tusil Road, officials (SDSO) said.

When investigators went inside the home they allegedly found 17 undocumented immigrants in back bedrooms.

They were taken to the Campo Border Patrol Station for processing and interviews. It is unclear whether they were workers there against their will or if they were being trafficked.

When deputies arrived, they said they found Indish on the front steps of the home with obvious signs of trauma to her upper body. She was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.

All four suspects have been booked on murder charges and are being held without bail.
