Deputies Investigating Double Stabbing Near Fallbrook

After one victim was stabbed, he and his friend ran to the back of the complex where they were attacked again, deputies said

Two men were chased and stabbed in the parking lot of an apartment complex in unincorporated Fallbrook, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies.

Two men in their 20s were attacked and stabbed on S. Vine Street, west of S. Mission Road just before 10 p.m. Monday..

Deputies say the men were walking through an apartment complex when they were confronted by 4 to 6 men standing near a car at the entrance to the complex parking lot.

The suspects wore dark clothing, hoodies and bandanas around their faces, deputies said.

After one victim was stabbed, he and his friend ran to the back of the complex. They say the suspects chased them and attacked them again. This time the second victim was stabbed.

According to one witness, an older white Honda Civic drove southbound on S. Vine Street with its lights off.

The two victims were taken to Palomar Hospital. No word was released on their conditions.
