A police chase Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 15 north of Escondido ended in a crash, officials said.
Sheriff's deputies were chasing the vehicle at about 3:50 p.m. until the collision happened near State Route 76.
Two people were arrested, deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies said the vehicle was originally heading south on I-15, but then got off the freeway in Rancho Bernardo, took side streets and then got back on the freeway heading north.
A Sig Alert was issued, closing Northbound I-15 to State Route 76.
It wasn’t immediately clear the circumstances surrounding the chase.
