The badly decomposed body of a man found last week has been identified. Jose Luis Quiroz was found Friday afternoon in bushes near an Encinitas intersection, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department. His family has been notified.
Lifeguards reported the body's discovery by Cottonwood Creek and near the intersection of Encinitas Boulevard and Highway 101 on Aug. 26.
Homicide detectives and the medical examiner determined the man died of natural causes.
