The deaths of a man and woman, whose bodies were found inside a La Jolla home, are being called investigated by the Homicide Unit of the San Diego Police Department.

Police say they received a call at about 12.18 p.m. Wednesday from a concerned family member who asked officers to check on a husband and wife living in the 8700 block of Caminito Sueno.

“The family member was very concerned when they were unable to reach the couple by telephone this morning,” said Lt Ernie Herbert.

When officers arrived at the home in La Jolla, they found an 81-year-old man and 77-year-old woman dead inside.

“The home was found secure and investigators do not believe there are any outstanding suspects,” said Lt Herbert.

The Homicide Unit is investigating. The cause of the deaths is not yet known.

“Detectives are currently checking for any witnesses and processing the scene for evidence,” said Lt Herbert.

The identities of the couple have not been released.
