A hit-and-run on Interstate 5 left one woman dead in Encinitas Tuesday.
The victim was found on the off-ramp from I-5 to Encinitas Boulevard at about 6:30 a.m. She was 62-years-old.
California Highway Patrol is looking for a Ford F-150 or Ford Expedition based off of evidence found at the scene.
The color is unknown, but the make could be between 1995 and 2002, CHP said.
The off-ramp was shut down and a Sig Alert was issued but all lanes were reopened just before 9 a.m.
