Chula Vista police have released the identity of a man who was stabbed to death in the 1600 block of Hilltop Drive.
According to police, 22-year-old Juan Navarro was stabbed in the torso on Tuesday around 6:10 p.m.
A witness told police that the victim and a companion were confronted by several unknown subjects who drove up to the men in a white vehicle.
They got into a confrontation and one of the subjects stabbed Navarro, police said. The subjects then fled the scene.
When emergency personnel arrived, CPR was administered to Navarro, who had no pulse. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Police said the fatal stabbing is still under investigation. No arrests have been made.
