Couple Hurt in Suspected DUI Crash

Married couple suffers major injuries

A Fallbrook couple was thrown from their motorcycle and suffered major injuries after a suspected drunk driver pulled out in front of them, according to California Highway Patrol.

The 24-year-old riders were traveling south on South Mission Road in Fallbrook at about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday when Randall Arnold allegedly made a left turn onto Almond Street, Officer Chris Parent told the North County Times.

The couple couldn’t stop in time and slammed into the side of Arnold’s pickup truck, Parent told the paper.

The married couple was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with major injuries, the paper reported.

Arnold was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Bail was set at $100,000. Arnold is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
