United Airlines Manager Accused of Using Gay Slur

San Diego couple claims airline employee used a gay slur

A San Diego couple is making waves on Facebook and in the media claiming a United Airlines manager used a gay slur against them.

Billy Canu posted a message on Facebook page describing how he and his partner were ignored by United Airlines at its customer service desk in Denver.

When they addressed it, Canu says the manager stepped in and told them to leave in a patronizing tone and then used a gay slur.

A United Airlines spokesperson released this statement:

"United does not tolerate discrimination of any kind and we take this customer's complaint very seriously.

We immediately initiated a review of the alleged incident and are contacting the customer to follow-up."
