Couple Accused of Growing Pot Pleads Not Guilty

Agents searched a home on Estelle Street looking for a grow operation

A married couple accused of growing up to 700 marijuana plants in their San Diego home pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents served search warrants at the home on 6270 Estelle St., south of El Cajon Blvd. and seized 600 to 700 marijuana plants.

Agents searched two homes looking for evidence in an indoor marijuana growing operation.

They arrested Tiran Currier, 32, of San Diego and his wife April Currier, 30.

The couple faces charges for cultivation of marijuana according to a DEA spokesperson. They both deny all allegations, their lawyer said in court Tuesday.

Tiran and April will appear for a preliminary hearing in October.
