A 1-year-old girl was transported to the hospital after she was found with a cord wrapped around her neck on Tuesday afternoon, according to San Diego Police official Gary Hassen.
Medics were called to 10825 Terraza Floracion Rd. in Rancho Penasquitos to assist and take the girl to the hospital.
Abuse detectives are investigating if the case is a possible strangulation.
There is no word on the child's condition.
