Cops Ask for Help in Finding Burglar

Suspect pulled security and fire alarm system from wall before stealing cash and a laptop

Detectives in Encinitas are asking for the public's help in finding a man who reportedly stole cash and a laptop from a restaurant last month.

The Sheriff's Encinitas Station said the suspected burglar broke into Chin's Restaurant at 625 Encinitas Blvd. at about 5 a.m. on the morning of June 15.

He pulled a security and fire alarm system from the wall and then used a pry bar to enter the restaurant through the electrical room outside, detectives said.

He stole cash and a laptop from the restaurant.

The images above are from surveillance footage on the morning of the burglary.

If you have any information about this suspect, detectives advise not to approach him.
