Student Gets Free Car for Going to Class

Mustang GT goes to lucky student

The Sweetwater Union High School District announced this week that one lucky student with perfect attendance will be the lucky recipient of a 1997 Ford Mustang GT, according to a published report.

Any 11th- or 12th-grader in the district who has perfect attendance for the school year will be eligible to enter a drawing for the muscle car, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Last year, the district ran a similar incentive program that featured YouTube videos, urban graffiti posters and giveaways that included iPods and laptops. The car for this year’s prize was donated by Moynahan Towing in National City and is currently being rebuilt by students in auto-shop classes, the paper reported.
